CHINESE RESIDENTS.
ANNUAL DONATION TO HOSPITAL. Tho managing secretary of the Palmerston North Hospital Board (Mr A. J. Phillips) reported to the monthly meeting of the board to-day that he had received at lunch-time a cheque for £2l 11s from the Chinese residents of Palmerston North as tl eir yearly donation to the board. “That is very good of them,’’ commented Mr J. A. Nash, M.P. On the motion of the chairman (Sir James Wilsonl it was decided to forward the donors, through Mr Joe Kwong Lee, a letter of thanks.
