RECENT TRAIN DISASTER.
DRIVER CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. Per Press Association. * NAPIER, Nov. 7. At Napier, this morning, Frederick Larin, tho driver of tho Napier-Wcl-lington express, which was derailed at Opapa on September 22, resulting in tho deaths of Murdoch Campbell, ltdward V ivian Igguldeii and Kathleen Beglcv, all of whom subsequently expired from injuries sustained in the accident, was charged with manslaughter in the case of each of the victims. On the application of tho police a remand was granted to November 14, when a further remand till tho 19th inst. will be asked for. Mr B. J. Dolan appeared for the accused and asked for bail, which was granted in .self of £SOO and two securities of £250.
