AUCKLAND, Nov. 3
Tho trial of James 13ridge for manslaughter arising out of the death of Mrs Mary McKenzie at Onehunga on August 13, when a motor truck ran into a tramway shelter shed, concluded in the Supreme Court to-day. Tho jury found accused not guilty of manslaughter, and with regard to an allegation of negligent driving said that they were prepared to give him the benefit of tho doubt as to the speed of the truck, and return a verdict of not guilty. They recommended that tho shelter shed should bo removed as being a danger to the travelling public. A verdict of not guilty was also returned in tho case of William Sinclair (aged 16), charged with the manslaughter of Mrs Kate Dowding in May, 1921, through knocking her down with a motor car. Shortly after the accident accused went to Sydney, but came back and gave himself up to face the present charge.
