FOOL-PROOF ’PLANES

LONDON, Oct. 23,

Sir William Sefton Brjncker, Director of Civil Aviation, forecasts foolproof aeroplanes shortly. He declares that Senor Cierva told him that the auto-gyro he had invented was perfectly safe, and that not oven the worst pilot would be able to commit suicide in it. Sir Sefton added that tho machine’s success would mean the end of the skilled pilot. Apparently anybody would bo able to fly tho auto-gyro. Tho Air Ministry will order three machines if the tests, which are being made at Farnborough, provo satisfactory.
