SUGGESTED FOR PALMERSTON NORTH. During his address at the Luncheon Club gathering to-day on “Pictures and their Painting,” Mr' D. W. Low stated that, in these days of many reproductions, much could be done for the older and young people in the way of discrimination in art. Although many of tho reproductions might be good tliey could not compare with the original work. And one way or encouraging a love for art was by establishing public art galleries. Wo had them in the large centres—there was a good one in Auckland, a moderate one m Cnristcinircli.
