“CURE” FOR CANCER.

A FARMER’S SPECIFIC. DUNEDIN, Oet, 24. “Cures” for cancer, tuberculosis and oilier diseases are being discovered every week or so by enterprising persons, whose paucity of medical Knowledge is hardly compensated for by the superabundance of enthusiasm. When another cure comes along it is only natural that it should lie viewed witli profound scepticism by those with some pretence of knowledgo of the obvious difficulties in the way, and this was exemplified at the meeting of the Otago Hospital Board when a communication- was received from the South Otago Board enclosing a circular headed “Cure for cancer, tuberculosis and other disease—John Mosley’s discoveries.” In support of Mr Mosley’s qualifications it was pointed out by the chairman of the South Otago Board, the Hon. A. S. Malcolm. that ho “is a retired farmer. Of his intelligence and honesty of purpose there is no question. For ten years or more he has been investigating the matters touched on in his statement.” It was also stressed that the cost of following out Mr Mosley’s “recommendations” was “trilling.” It was decided to forward the particulars of Mr Mosley’s “discoveries” to the honorary medical staff, one of the members venturing to suggest that they might give the medicos concerned a “few tips.”
