POWER INTERRUPTION

AT PUBLIC WORKS SUB-STATION. BOROUGH PLANT TAKES UP LOAD. Shortly before 1 p.m. the electrical power supply in tho borough failed as the result of a breakdown in the Public Works Department’s sub-station at Bunnythorpe. Two of the engines at the borough powerhouse, however, were quickly got into operation and within a space of about 15 minutes the service was restored from the Terrace End plant. The defect at the Government, sub-sta-tion look over an hour to remedy and it was nearly' 2.30 p.m. before the Mangahao supply was restored.
