THE RANGIOTU TRAGEDY.

BODIES NOT YET RECOVERED. Dragging operations are being continued m the Oroua river in the neighbourhood of Ilangiotu for the bodies of Mrs Withers and children, but no word had been received in Palmerston North of their recovery at an advanced hour this afternoon. The police, aided by several residents, are conducting operations, and in view of the favourable conditions now prevailing, it is anticipated that their mission will be successful in but a brief time.
