TYPHOON IN JAPAN.
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. Received August 18, 11.10 a.m. TOKIO. Aug. 17. A typhoon swept Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, causing extensive damage to tho telegraph and telephone lines. Thousands of houses in the low-lying areas have been inundated.—Reuter.
