PRIZES FOR NEEDLEWORK.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. LOCAL LADY SUCCESSFUL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 18. A number of New Zealand ladies obtained prizes in the international needlework competition held in London recently. The names are: Mesdames J. B. Robertson (Wellington), Lind (Hawera), C. I. Barber (Te Horo), S. M. Reader (Havelock, R. E. Hewat (Palmerston North), J.. J. Watkin (Wellington, formerly of Palmerston North), Misses C. Wilson (Bulls), A. Carpenter (Wellington), L. Beck (Morrinsville). The championship went to Mrs Tyndall, an invalid English lady.
