ON THE MINIATURE RANGE.' LINTON DEFEAT AWAHURI. A match was fired on the King street range on Friday evening between the A and B teams of the Awalnui and Linton Rifle Clubs, the scores counting in the McKelvie Cup series. Several ot the Linton riflemen displayed consistency in their returns. and although no possibles were returned, the aggregate o£ the home A team was 26 points in advance of Awahuri, while the B team likewise held the advantage by 24 points. In a recent match between the Linton Club and a team from the residents of the R-aumai district contested on the open range, the scores were: Linton 570, Ruumai 565, the former team thus winning by a margin of five points. .WINNER OF THE KING’S PRIZE. - "..
