The .iudge at Dayton agreed to accept affidavits giving an outline of the scientific evidence on evolution for the purpose of completing the record o: the case against Professor John Scope;; for teaching the Darwinian theory', or appeal to the Higher Court. The proceedings have been adjournec till Monday, when all that requires tc be done is to hear argument and sen tence poor Scopes. The Judge wanted to have his picture taken with Mr Bryan on one side and Mr Darrow on the other, but Mr Darrow sourly declined.—Sydney Sun cable.
