CARRIER SENT TO GAOL.
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, July 17. John Peter Evans, a local carrier, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment for failing to provide proper and sufficient food and shelter) for a horse. Two constables, who ordered the beast to bo shot, stated in evidence that it was the most brutal case that had come under their notice.
