DEMPSEY’S TITLE. OFFER TO BOSTONIAN ALLEGED. BOSTON, July 7. In a signed article the boxing expert of the Boston Post makes the sensational charge that Jack Kearns promised to have Jack Dempsey default his title of world’s champion to Jim Maloney, a 21-year-old Boston heavyweight, scaling list. 41b. if given the management of Maloney. This meant that the latter would oust his manager, McGrath. Maloney declined.
