Horse-owners and trainers will be pldased to learn that Bisogne (by Bexonian),’again is to be-at the service of breeders in thej Manavvatu district this season. Although' Bisogne has 'not had a greal amount of opportunity at the stud, lie has his share of winners. His best lias been that honest and consistent mare Avola, who has shown herself a more than useful sprinter rind capable also of accounting for good . field? 1 ' at middle distances. Kenyon and,. Glebe' gariff are' a pair that have shown pace ail'd, promise, and should be belter horses Ay lift, age. Troilus, Ora’s Delight-, Bonogrie,' Lisogne and Shut Eye are other winning, representatives. Mr T. Bayley has Bisogne located at Maxwell’s line, Awapuni. Bisogne's lines are all in liis favour, for his dam. It is said that the hurdler Vagabond was bought by a Canterbury sportsman on Saturday. On his racing at Trentham his new owner may not have to wait long for a return of Jtis purchase price.
Sir Rosebery is in demand for both the Grand National Steeplechase and Hurdles, and after the disclosure of form by other probables at the Trentham fixture he seems to have a good olianco in the big steeplechase at least. His running in tile hurdle race will depend greatly upon the way in which he comes through the ordeal in the cross country event.
