LOANS FOR AUSTRALIA.
MAY BE RAISED IN AMERICA. LONDON, June 23. It is learned that there is definite evidence that both the Commonwealth and the Australian States will he borrowing in America in the near future. Negotiations are in progress with the lull approval of the British Government and the Bank of England. It is stated in financial circles that money is not available in Britain at the present to iinanee the Dominions’ undertakings and although, doubtless, it would be forthcoming if sufficiently liberal terms were offered, it would be raised only at the expense of some other undertakings.—Sydney Sun cable.
