GEISHA GIRL DIES.
MARRIED MAN’S MAD ACT,
TOKIO, June 23. Tokio society is shocked at the attempted suicide at Lake Chuzenji on Sunday of the son of Baron Kitazato, Japan’s famous bacteriologist. The son, who is married, travelled to Chuzenji with a Geisha girl. The pair tied themselves together and leaped into the lake, the Geishtr girl drowning. The struggle released the man, who swam ashore and then cut his throat. The wound was not fatal.
He held a high position in the Mitsui Bank, and lie and his family are most prominent in Tokio social life.
