Mr 1.-. Mcllale, formerly a resident of this district, is visiting here. A confirmation service will be conducted by Bishop Sprc-tt, on the 25th inst., at 6.30 p..rn., at ,3t. Aidan’s Church. The candidate# are Airinie Rowlands, Dorothy Lampard, Joyce King, May Frame, Stanley Free and Leslie Kars. All arrangements are completed for the grand ball to be held by the footballers. Miss Ileighton spent tho week-end in Wellington to attend the wedding of her niece, Miss King, to Mr J. A’Court. Revs. Parnell and Stewart were motored lo Shannon after the memorial service by Mr Miles, not Mr Lampard, ns previously stated. The latter gentle mc.nmotored to Shannon to convey them to he service.
