FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
LOYAL MANAWATU LODGE
N.C. Bro. H. Lock presided over a splendid attendance at the meeting of Loyal Manawatu Lodge last evening. One new member was proposed, while a number of purple degree certificates were presented to past officers. L.AL. Bio. D. T. Dilks reported upon the success of the Monday evening dance. Tho election of officers reunited as follows: —1.P.N.G., Bro. H. Lock: N.G., Bro. L. S. Catterick; V.G., Bro. T. Hill; E.S., Bro. G. H. Sue!ling. The newly elected officers were duly installed by L.M. Bro. D. T. bilks, assisted by P.P.G.M. Bt(o. H. Shannun, and P.G's Bro. J. B. Gerrand and Bro. O. J. Rodgers. It was decided to place P.G. Sister R. Fubrin’s name on tho merit board and to present her with a past officers’ emblem. On behalf of tho lodge, P.P.G.M. Bro. Id. Sharman presented Sister Fabrin with a gold brooch emblem of the order, which was duly acknowledged. Certificates were passed euab ing the officers to take their respective degrees.
