REIGN OF TERROR.
SUPPRESSED IN JAPAN. Received March 9, 9.35 a.m. TOKIO, March 8. That the arm of the law in Japan is long ia shown by the sensational details of the bombing of General Fukuda last July. After a long series of crimes, with the object of revenging the death of the anarchist Osugi after tlie earthquake, perpetrated by a gang, five anarchists were committed for trial. The story has just been released by the police. The press is devoting pages to the astounding four months’ reign of terror, which was nipped in tho bud by the courage and untiring energy of the authorities, who traced the culprits in Tokio and Osaka. The gang robbed the Mitsukoshi-Sumitomo bank. They intended to kill the national leaders on the anniversary of Osugi’s death. —A. and N.Z. cable.
