MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TO-DAY’S BUSINESS.
BREACHES OF BY-LAWS
Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., presided over this morning's sitting of the Magistrate’s Court.
Charged with having left a motor car stationary in Main street for more than 10 minutes, G. Allman was fined 10s with costs 2s. For having driven a motor car along Foxton Line at a greater speed than 20 mile 9 par hour, T. J. Rodgers was fined £2 with costs 7s.
MAINTENANCE ORDERS
W. J. Blows, who was £24 15s in arrears in connection with a maintenance order made in favour of his wife, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended as long as he complies with the order and pays 10s per week off the arrears. W. G. Emeuy, who was £34 10s in arrears in connection with a maintenance order made on September 15, 1919, in favour of liis wife and child, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, to be released on payment of £l7 15s. Tho other arrears were remitted.
