SUPREME COURT.
ALLEGED SHEEP STEALING. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 10. At tho Supreme Court James Reidy, a soldier settler on Teviot station, was charged with stealing 17 sheep valued at £sl, the property of His Majesty the King, and that he received from a person or persons unknown 17 sheep knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. Accused pleaded not guilty. Tho case was unfinished and was adjourned till tomorrow. CHRISTCHURCH SESSIONS. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. It*. At tho Supremo Court William Robert Cooko pleaded guilty to a charge of bigamy and was remanded for sentence. Ernest Hawkings was acquitted on a' charge of failing to acount for £2l 19s Bd, the property of the Spreydon School Committee, of which he was chairman. James Rogers was acquitted on a charge of indecent assaidt on a female. Ivy Freeman was found guilty with a recommendation feo leniency on a charge of stealing £3 7s 6d. Sentence was deferred.
