ANGLICAN SYNOD

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. Feb. 10. At the Anglican Synod it was decided that a commission be appointed to consider the wholo question of the tenure of office of vicars of parishes and parochial districts. Bishop Averill moved that tho spiritual oversight of Norfolk Island should be transferred to an ecclesiastical province near South Wales and permission sought from tho Now South Wales Government for the Melanesian Mission Trust Hoard to hand over the Norfolk Island property to New South Wnjfs as an endowment. This was adopted. When the Synod rose a dobato was proceeding on tho second reading of a statute to provide for the constitution of the Melanesian Finance Board.
