(From Our Own Correspondent.) The health of Mr Hickson is still causing ai xiety to his friends in spite of the opporti nity for prolonged treatment at Hanmer. A report is current that the schools will re-open till March, but this has not y< t been confirmed by the Education P >ard. Mrs Hickson returned to Tokomaru durir g tho week. Miss Moorhouse has been obliged to enter h >spital for treatment. Miss Cruickshank journeyed up from the &( uth last week and will- spend the latter p irt of the Bohool holidays in Palmerston > orth. Miss B. Kelly returned home on Satur<hy after a short visit to Wellington. Miss Kelly is still enjoying the sunny c imate of Nelson and hopes to return home s lortly greatly benefited in health. The exceptionally warm weather seems to r a-ve brought to light many of the insect s jecies hitherto unknown, while the wellInown mosquito makes ite presence felt.
