It is absurd that the stigma of disrepute still attaches to the pastime, which at present makes boxing punishable as common assault in the same way as a disorderly street light. It is no wonder that we are not producing champions. Boxing is the world's finest discipline for the body and the temper. There ought to be more of it. ORIENT CHAMPIONSHIP. MANILA, Feb, 1.
