SERIOUS OFFENCE.
SEVERE SENTENCE IMPOSED. Per Press Auociation. TIMARU, Feb. 6. At the Supreme Court Charles Nolan was found guilty of carnal knowledge with a girl under ten years of age and was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment with hard labour, with ten strokes of the "cat."
