OPEN RANGE SHOOTING.

LINTON CLUB OPENS SEASON. The Linton Rifle Club opened its summer activities on Wednesday afternoon when the mid-week section fired three series of seven shots at the 300 yards mound on the Aokautero range. Conditions were pleasant, although a choppy easterly wind made matters somewhat difficult. Following the firing of a practice round, the first sections in the GreerNewth and Pickering Cups were contested, J, Kyle heading the returns with 33 in the former and W. Randell the second with 32.
