NEW AWARD RATE CONDEMNED;

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan 7. The Wellington Waterside Workers' Union, at a stop-work meeting this morning, passed a resolution strongly condemning the award which came into operation on December 18. The resolution save: "This union takes the opportunity of expressing its dissatisfaction, disgust and contempt towards the- majority of the Coutt for making 1 an award of only a half-penny increase per hour." „ The resolution ako calls on the Minister of Labour and Justice to institute an inquiry into the proceedings and finding of the- Court, with a view" of re-establishing confidence in that institution." "We look oil the miserable; half-penny granted by the Court as a direct insult," says the resolution.
