AORANGI'S MAIDEN TRIP. FACES ATLANTIC GALE. Received January 6, 11.15 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 5. A wireless message from the engineering exports on board the new motor ship Aorangi, state that "the engines ran excellently in tire leeth of an Atlantic gale with huge seas. The vessel had already covered 400 knots.— Reuter.

The Aorangi, of 18,000 tons register, has been built for the Union Steam Ship Company for service in the Sydney Auckland'Vancouver route. She is now on her maiden voyage to New Zealund.
