'THE DOCTOR'S" GOLF STORY. One of the keenest members of a golf club not far from Wellington, in the old days', w<vs a well-beloved banker, who much enjoyed an occasional spot of Doctors' Special Reliable Old Scotch Whisky. . Our friend used to lie in the heavy grass near a blind hole while his friends , drove merrily for the cup. Then he ' stole across and placed one ball or other in the hole. Warmly he welcomed his victim: "Holed out in one ? Well I'll be clashed!" Gladly the golfer paid the traditional penalty of a bottle of "Doctors'- Special." Though the banker's prank was eventually discovered, all golferß still maintain a high respect for his excellent qualities, and ''Doctors' Special." It. .alw.ays makes good friends. —Advt.
