LONGBURN SCHOOL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A special meeting of Longburn School Committee was held last evening. A balance-sheet in connection with the sports and breaking-up ceremony was presented, and all accounts in connection therewith were passed for payment. Votes of thanks were accorded residents and others who had so cheerfully responded to the appeal for tho spoils and prize fund. Owing to Mr P. Cunningham’s valuable prizes arriving too late for distribution, tho committee, ■ while recording that gentleman a lieurty vote of thanks, regret that they are compelled to hold them over for the present. Miss I. Davcy was also accorded a hearty vote of thanks for voluntarily assisting on the school staff in place of Miss Piercy.
