CRICKET CONTROL.
AIANAGEAIEXT ’ COMMITTEE AIEET. The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Alaiiawatu Cricket Association was held last night, Air F. J. Oakley presiding. There were also present: Alessrs W. P. Anderson, R. W. Hope, A. AI. Onglev, R. A. Bruce, H. E. Bennett, F. Hubbard and G. K. Hollier (secretary). CORRESPONDENCE. From the Wairarapa Cricket Association stating that their ■representative team for the match with Alaiiawatu would leave Alusterton on Wednesday morning, and suggesting that play start at 1 p.m. on that day. The writers further stated that it was desired that their team leave for home on Thursday evening.—Suggestion agreed to. From the Southern Hawke’s Buy Cricket Association asking for suggested dates for the annual home and home matches. Alatter held over. From W. G. Aliller, Christchurch, thanking the association for appointing him its delegate on the New Zealand Council, and stating that he would do all that was possible to further the interests ot cricket in the Alanawatu and elsewhere. —ReceivedFrom the Rangitikci Cricket Association enquiring whether it would be possible for play in the representative match between Alanawatu and Rangitikci next Saturday to commence at 10.30 a.m,—Request acceded to. From the New Zealand Council advising that affiliation had been grunted to the Southern Hawke’s Bay Sub-Union, with headquarters at Dannevirke. —Received. GENERAL. Air Ongley notified that the team torepresent Alaiiawatu against Rangitikci on Saturday would be as follows: —F. Bennett, Donaldson, Eyre, Harrison, Hope, AicVicar, Ongley, Perrin, Mullins, AlcSweeny and Tier. Conditionally upon Alanawatu defeating Wairarapa this week, if. was decided that a challenge be telegraphed for the Hawke Cup, at present held by Nelson. An account for £2 12s 6d was passed for payment. NO COAIPETITION AIATCIIES TO-MORROW. The secretary of the Alanawatu Cricket Association stated to-day that Kia Ora and Albion, having notified their' intention to default to Old Boys and respectively, there would' be no competition matches to-morrow.
