SOVIET’S FRIENDS
MR BERNARD SHAW’S LETTER. SENT TO MOSCOW PAPER. Received December 8, 1.40 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 7. Air Bernard Shaw has (riven the Daily Herald exclusively a copy of a letter he luis sent by request to the Moscow Izvestia. Air Shaw writes: “As the economic will finally dominate the political situation, it is quite possible that the Soviet will ultimately get better terms, both commercial treaties and guaranteed loan, from the present Conservative Governent than Labour dared to offer, but the Soviet will do well to dissociate itself from the Third International. Tell Zinovieff that ho must choose definitely between serious statesmanship and cinomatagraphic sd’noolboy nonsense. I do not refer to the forged letter, but to tho constitution of tho Third International. Its burgeois idoalism and childish inexperience of men and affairs have given a serious shock to the Soviet’s friends in England.”—A. and N.Z. cable
