EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
NEW ZEALAND’S EXHIBITS.
During his recent visit to England, Mr J. Knight, of Feilding, attended the Empire Exhibition at Wembley on several occasions and in the course of an interview gave his views of New Zealand’s pavilion. Some criticism, he said, had been levelled at it and the exhibits during the early part of the exhibition, but he felt sure that today the writers would, like to have their remarks recalled; in point of tact some had expressed their regret at their hasty judgments. Some of the critics had compared our exhibits with Australia’s and Canada’s. Our buttoi exhibit was a very fine Jersey cow and was typical of our powerful export. The wool exhibit was very comprehensive and well set out, being the most attractive in the pavilion. The frozen meat exhibit created a great deal of interest and was well set out and carried conviction as to the good quality of New Zealand meat, its fresh appearance, even when the exhibit had been in place for months, being commented upon. The fruit from New' Zealand was exceedingly well patronised and the sales wore steady right throughout. The condition of the fruit at the end was just as good as as at tho beginning a striking tribute to its keeping quality.
