JEWEL BANDITS.

"WOMAN KILLED BY ESCAPING CAR. LONDON, Nov. 20. A woman was killed at Birmingham to-day by a motor car in which jewel bandits were escaping. Tho plan of driving up in a motor car, smashing a jeweller’s window, and making off with a ■ tray of valuables, has recently become common. At Birmingham the occupants of the car seized jewellery valued at £IOOO. Shouts of “Stop thieves!” in the busy streets caused tho chauffeur to drive recklessly. Ho bowled over several pedestrians and a woman was killed. The car was later found abandoned a mile away.
