FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
COURT M ANA WAIT. The fortnightly meeting of Court Manawatu, A.0.F., No. offs 3, was Isold in the Foresters’ Hall, Main street, oil Monday evening. The C.R., Bro. M. Levy, presided over a large attendance of members, including a number of visitors from other courts. Quite a considerable number of brothers intimated their intention to visit Court i Roderick Dim. Wanganui, on Thursday next. A motion of condolence with the relatives of the late Bro. Passey was carried. One new member was initiated and five candidates proposed loi* rnemhership. At the eonelusion of the meeting members adjourned to the social room, where the usual card tournament was held, the winner being Bro. McLeod. OROCA LODGE NO. 5. The fortnightly meeting of Oroua Lodge of Druids was field last night. J.P.A. Bro. I’. Elsinore presiding in the absence of the A.D. It was decided to send the Druids' football team to Wanganui on Saturday to play tile Bishop Lodge team. At the conclusion of the next meeting of the juvenile lodge, tiie Druids’ wives will hold a euchre tournament. At last evening's meeting two candidates were proposed for membership.
