CHALLENGE MATCHES. MANAWATU v. NAPIER. Local boxing fans tire looking forward to the return matches between llawkc s llav and Manawatu boxers on Monday night at the Opera House, when tSe best of the Palmerston North lads will be matched against, the pick of Napier and Hastings. On the last occasion Napier won tiix out of eight bouts after very even contests and' some of the decisions given by the referee were not popular, so that the contests on Labour night are likely to be very even. Four local bouts will also be staged and a comedy item introduced |,y blindfold boxing, which is said to be funnier than any farce. Mr Geoff. Wateliorn will loferoe all the lights and Mr J. Stone the blindfold events. The box plans open to-morrow at Oates'. CONTEST IN BRITAIN. LONDON, Oct. 21.
