FURRED SKIN S’ALE

GOOD PRICES REALISED. WELLINGTON. July 24. Tho Now Zealand Loan arid Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. Wellington, report: There was a good attendance of buyers at ! our third monthly furred skin sale to-day, i both Dunedin and local buyers operating I freely. Bidding was very spirited tmd 1 competition exceptionally keen, resulting in a most satisfactory clearance. The prices realised for bucks were easily 4d per pound higher than obtaining at tho hist Dunedin sale for first South'lsland bucks, other grades were 4d to 6d above the Dunedin prices. In a number of ca.ses vendors appeared to have been careless in respect to the get-up of the skins, sufficient attention not being paid to fitting and stretching. Again we have to report that owing to the mild season light furred and spotted skins were very much in evidence, although taken during the last, two months, also that a number of spring and summer skips are coming forward. The date for the next Wellington sale had. not been definitely fixed, but it will be held about the end of August on a dato to be advertised later.
