Fat sheep slightly bettor, as also did store sheep. STOCK MARKET. At Hunterville yards on the 22nd inst-., Abraham and Williams, Ltd., oiiciecl several herds of dairy cows on account ot the Commissioner of Crown Lands. Ino cows were in good condition and although in most cases no particulars as regal ds date of calving, etc., were available we managed to dispose of the whole entry at the following prices:— Forward springers. £3 10s to £7 f others, £2 12s 6d to £3; backward cows, £2 to £2 10s; poor conditioned cows, £1 to £1 10s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North report having held their annual heifer’fair at Aslihurst on Wednesday. On the whole the heifers yarded were a very ordinarv lot and rather undersized. \\ e quitted' tho majority of the entry at the following prices:—Jersey cross heifers, £4, £4 7s 6d, £4 15s, £5, £5 5s to £5 7s 6d; backward heifers, £2, £2 10s, £3 to £3 15s; second calvers to £6 ss. Tennant Bunnythorpe There was a good attendance and the cows sold well, tlie-average for the herd being £lO 12s 6d.
