GIRL CITIZENS.

HALLOWE’EN PARTY. At the Y.W.C.A. Hostel last night a hallowe’en party was held in connection with the girl citizens’ movement in reference to which Aliss L. W. Bridgeman, national girls’ work secretary for Australia and New Zealand, has been organising in Palmerston North during the past. week. The room was tastefully decorated for the occasion and a very enjoyable evening vvas spent in games and dancing, thero being over 100 present, including Mrs L. A. Abraham, president of the Y.W.C.A., and Airs J. Aitchison, a member of the board. Airs It. H. Billens, chairwoman of the newly-formed committee for girls’ work, was the hostess. During the evening Aliss Bridgeman spoke of the different activities of the Y.W.C.A. and especially in regard to the girls’ citizen movement, following which address two more sections of the movement were formed. Thero are now five - sections of the movement in Palmerston North.
