AMERICANS IN JAPAN.
MALTREATMENT DENIED. Received June 26, 10.40 a.m. TOKIO, June 24. In connection with the press reports of outrages against Japanese in Calfornia, in retaliation for alleged maltreatment of Americans in Japan, a meeting of the American association in Yokohama carried a resolution declaring that it was in a position to deny any niultreatment of Americans and urging that the widest publicity be given to that fact in America. —Reuter.
