ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
Late on Tuesday afternoon a boy named George Fage, from All Saints' Children's Home, was knocked down by a motor car as he stepped from behind a motor bus. The car passed over the lad but the wheels and undercarriage missed his body and his injuries consisted mainly of bruises. lie was admitted to tho public hospital and is making excellent progress towards recovery. While engaged in his work in connection with the erection of the gasometer at the power house at Terrace End on Tuesday, Mr J. Telfer fell from the top of the structure inside the empty tank. He sustained minor injuries to his head and shoulders and was removed to the hospital, where he is making excellent progress. The danger of glaring head-lights was again demonstrated in Broadway last evening when the driver of a delivery-van, dazzled by the bright lights of an approaching car, struck a tree a glancing blow and ran on'to the footpath, damaging a mudguard. The driver escaped injury.
