TARIFF DUTIES.
PREFERENCE TO BRITAIN. Received June 26, 10.25 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 26. Consequent upon tho recent decision of the House of Commons an early effort is to be made to induco the Federal Parliament to abolish tho tariff duties which give preference to British goods. In the Senate Senators Duncan and Lynch have given notices of motion having the object of tho removal of the preferences.—Press Association.
