KOSY. "Pure Grit." a drama based on the life of a Texas ranger, us set down in the book by William McLeod Raine, is the leading subject on the current bill at. the Kosy Thealrc. It is a romantic story, vigorous and full of thrills. While, not claimed to be the best picture of the season, it yet has a good entertainment value. The new section of "The Phantom Fortune" and the "International News'' are two acceptable subjects, and a pair of comedies add the lighter touch. PALACE. "Flaming Youth" is now showing at the Palace Theatre. The story for the most part deals with the youngest of three daughters of a household where indulgence and pleasure are the only consideration. The audience follow this daughter through a series of love affairs and through thorn get a glimpse into the philosophy of the modern young girl. The principal role, that of the youngest daughter, "Patricia Fentriss," proves an admirable part for Colleen Moore. She handles the role most effectively. There are many big dramatic incidents 'in the picture. Alwyne and Penn in songs and harmonious duets were again accorded a hearty reception last evening, their vocal offerings being much appreciated.
