EASTBOURNE HORROR
DETECTIVE'S INVESTIGATIONS. VICTIM BELIEVKD TO BE MISS KAY. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received May 6, 1.35 p.m. LONDON, May 5. Detectives are investigating the Eastbourne horror. During the night they called up several .vessels bound for South Africa in consequence, of the information that Miss Kay told a friend at tho end of March that she would soon be marrying and going to Africa. Sho is fair with bobbed hair and was last seen in tho bungalow on April 12. Apparently their inquiries were without results because alter all day long inquiries the police announced that they were satisfied that the victim was Mn-s Kay, whose occupation was that of bookkeeper. The police arc digging up the bungalow garden' in tho hope of discovering tho victim's missing head. No trace has yet been obtained of the dark haired woman, who also visited the bungalow. Patrick Mason, the detained man, is known to have a wife for whom the police are seeking.—A. and N.Z. cable.
