EGMONT CLUB'S MEETING. (Per Preoß Association.) HAW ERA, May 7. There is bright weather for the opening day of the Egmout Club's meeting. The course is slightly holding but is in good order. The attendance is good. Results:— Telegraph Hack, five furlongs (first division).—Te Kawa, 9.0, 1; Papaponga, 7.3, 2; Puketoi, 7.11, 3. Scratched: Lady Hamua. Won by a neck, half a length" between second and third. Time, 1.4. * \ Tongahoe Hurdles, \' 2 miles. —Prince Rufus, 10.3, 1; Savoury, 9.5, 2; Silk Rein, 9.0 3. Scratched: Baldoyte. Won by 1J lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.53 2-5.
