BOXING ASSOCIATION.

AIEETING OF COAIAIITTEE

A meeting of the committee of the Manawatu Boxing Association was held last night, Air C. E. Cronin presiding. The drafts of the annual report and balance-sheet were submitted, and it was decided that the annual meeting be held on April 7. The draft amendment of rules, for submission to that meeting was approved. Twenty-four amateur boxers who are in training in Palmerston North were granted registration. In connection with the novice tournament to be held on April 2 preliminary arrangements wore made, and it was 'decided that half the proceeds should be donated to the Olympic Committee towards defraying the expenses of boxing representatives at the Olympic Games. It was decided, with a view to encouraging boxing competitions among primary school boys, to gurchase a challenge cup. The Levin lub was granted affiliation.
