CORBRIDGE STARS.
Last Saturday saw the commencement of the Corbridge stars competition on the Manawutu greens and, although the lawns were somewhat heavy, there were some keen games. The time limit prevented several being played out. The games played resulted as follow : Mrs Campbell and Robertson (4J>) beat Mosdarnos Spinlev and Fuller (7£), 26-14. Mrs Roberston and RhodesWilliains (4£) beat Mesdames Clarke and McDonald (6), 26-7. Mrs Campbell and Robertson (4£) beat Mesdames Clarke and McDonald (6), 2617. Mrs Robertson and Rhodes-Williams (4£) beat Mrs Campbell and Robertson (44), 26-17. Mrs. Campbell and Robertson (4£) beat Mesdames Spring and Th'ornley (64), 25-17. Mc-sdames Spring and Thornley (6£) beat Mrs Campbell and Rhodes Williams (44), 21-19,
