FIRE BRIGADES.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 45th annual eonlerence of the Fire Brigades Association opened this morning with a large attendance. The balance-sheet showed receipts £4411 14s' 8d and expenditure £3058 Ss Bd, the credit balance being £1353 6s and the balance of assets £155 Is Id. The executive’s report stated that 125 brigades were affiliated with the association. The balance-sheet was adopted.
The Mayor and the members of the Borough Council attended the conference and welcomed the delegates.
