PREPARATIONS FOR CAMPAIGN

(P«r Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Feb. 11

A meeting of the executive of the Liberal-Labour Party occupied the whole of to-day. Mr T. M. W ilford, M.P., Leader of the Opposition, presided. After perusing reports from various branches of the federation throughout New Zealand, and hearing tlier statements of members of the executive. the following memorandum was authorised for publication:—“Reports clearly and definitely show that there is. intense dissatisfaction throughout New Zealand with the Massey Government, which is now known to be a spent force, and as it has generally failed to meet the requirements of the people, a change of Government would he welcome. A favourable and confident report was also received from supporters in the various constituencies, testifying to the growing strength of the Liberal-Labour Party. It was resolved that a vigorous campaign be undertaken throughout the Dominion by the leader and members of his party.” Tiie Auckland Liberal-Labour Federation interviewed the executive with reference to the complete organisation of the Auckland province for the coming campaign. The oilers of hearty cooperation were greatly appreciated.
